Haven’t blogged in awhile. But things have been awesome.
I’ve been disciplining myself like crazy to practice singing every single day for a couple hours at least. It’s definitely paying off. I’ve been very frustrated with my ability to sing well for a couple of years. I’m finally getting to a point where I’m proud to sing in front of people, instead of nervous and unconfident.
Working on a new song right now. It’s really Radiohead-ish. Good beat, very smooth and simple.
Sex+Money score is almost done. The editor is working on putting the tracks into the film right now.
So yeah, good stuff.
The title is a word I made up on the fly for lack of a better title. So yeah, just finished a new song, it’s up right now on the website. I haven’t titled it yet, and I’ll probably put more thought into the title of the song than I did for this blog post.
I’m really stoked on this song though, it has a sound that I’ve never really created before, and I think I’ll keep going in this direction. It could be an indie hit if it got enough exposure. That’d be neat.
The score for the sex+money documentary is now finished. Last week, we had a lovely young woman by the name of Emily fly up from Nashville to track violins for my partner and I. It was preeeeetty cool. Sounds sooo good. We’re contracting our landlord to mix the tracks for us because we have the budget to do so, and we are too lazy/unintelligent to do it ourselves. Buuut, yeah. That’s all.

Getting a little stressed about writing the score for Sex+Money.
But that’s good. The pressure will motivate me to work my butt off and keep going. Two of the producers are visiting us here in Lancaster, which is fun. They really like the progress we’ve made, and we talked about our deadline yesterday… Yikes. So soon.
But yeah, my new song is awesome. Gabriel (my drummer) and I have been jamming on my stuff lately, and I’m really excited to write more and start playing some shows. So yeah, thank you for your support and hopefully I’ll have actual music up soon.
